Jesús Huerta de Soto: Por qué España FRACASÓ como país LIBERAL 🤔

Jesús Huerta de Soto analyzes the Spanish economy from the perspective of the Austrian School, highlighting the historically negative view of entrepreneurship. This aversion dates back to the Golden Age, when any commercial or industrial activity was suspected of belonging to "New Christians" (Jews or Moriscos), who were despised after the Reconquista and the obsession with purity of blood. He goes on to explain that this anti-entrepreneurial tradition, along with the rise of statism under the Catholic Monarchs and the Inquisition as a political weapon, prevented the success of a liberal revolution in Spain.
