When more skin is removed than the anatomy allows, the eye stops closing completely, causing dryness, tearing, a gritty sensation, and constant discomfort. The pinch test is performed under conditions of complete tissue relaxation, when the eyelids assume their natural position, without the influence of facial expressions or muscle tension. This allows for the exact amount of skin to be removed. The procedure lasts 35 minutes. Minimal trauma, no external sutures or adhesives, and quick and comfortable recovery.
