"I've never experienced such an easy recovery from anesthesia. And I've had plenty of surgeries in my life. A slight fog in my head, a couple of minutes, and that's it. Then I just slept for another two hours and woke up refreshed." As a reminder, the surgery itself took 30 minutes. About the first sensations There is no pain. None. There are two expected postoperative sensations: Tearing. The lower eyelid is injected transconjunctivally, through the mucous membrane, so the eye reacts with irritation. This is temporary. Eye drops are administered during the first few hours, and as the mucous membrane heals, the discomfort subsides. Tightness in the upper eyelids. There are no external sutures; the skin edges are secured with a special adhesive. It slightly restricts facial expressions and prevents her from opening her eyes wide—this is normal in the first hours after surgery. Postoperative swelling is now noticeable. This isn't "bags," but a natural tissue reaction. Typically, swelling can increase until the third day, then gradually subsides. Natalia is aware of this dynamic and takes it in stride—a planned recovery lies ahead. At the end of the video, she removes her glasses and shows her face without filters. The patient's humor at such moments is the best way to tell me how wonderful she's feeling—a "smoky eye on a sleep-deprived face."
