Petition for Presence Let us feel that God is with me at this very moment. Let us pause for a moment from what we are doing. And let us recall the love and grace that God pours out upon us, who created us in His image and made us His temple. Petition for Freedom Let us ask the Lord for the grace to be free from our own desires. Lord, grant me the grace to be free from the abundance of this life. Do not let me be captivated by the desire for material wealth. Free my heart and mind so that I may love and follow You. Consciousness Let us be conscious of the traces of the Lord’s presence in the place of my life. In the presence of my Creator, who is Love, let us sincerely look upon the emotions of yesterday—the excitement, the calm, and the uneventfulness. Can you recognize where in your life the Lord has been with you? Gospel June 12, 2026, Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus (Matthew 11:25-30) Key Points for Meditation A childlike heart can gain insight into truths that many intellectually gifted people find difficult to accept. Sometimes, just when we are discouraged and feel that all our efforts have come to nothing, we suddenly receive unexpected spiritual enlightenment. Prayer allows us to step back from intellectual capacity or pause our work-centered lives for a moment, creating an empty space within us. Instead of struggling to understand with our heads, let us accept with our hearts that we are beings who are understood, cherished by others, and loved. Think about what burdens are weighing us down. Then, bring them to Jesus. Feel the difference between when Jesus carries our burdens and when we carry them alone. Can our hearts find even a little rest? We ask for the grace to remember and never forget that when we face difficulties, we are not alone, and that Jesus is with us. Let us meditate for a moment. *Discourse* Let us have a conversation with Jesus about the Bible passage we just read. What part of it moves your heart? Perhaps a conversation you had with a friend or a story you heard recently comes to mind.
