The Peripheral Ring Road is already underway, managed by Proinversión, and is progressing with the acquisition of more than 2,400 properties across its three sections. With a multi-million dollar investment and operating under a concession model, this mega-project aims to drastically reduce travel times between districts such as San Juan de Lurigancho, Independencia, San Luis, and Callao. According to Proinversión, 25% of the properties have already been acquired, and the goal is to reach 60% by 2026 in order to begin construction in 2027. The project will generate up to 70,000 jobs during the construction phase and will be operated under a 30-year concession, including toll-free auxiliary lanes and tolled sections.
