The Past Still Shows Its Face

“The Past Still Shows Its Face” is the first release from my upcoming project Penmanship. This song is about looking back without moving back in. Old versions of yourself don’t always disappear. Sometimes they show up in memories, habits, temptations, people, streets, songs, and silence. This track is about surviving those versions, respecting what they taught you, and still choosing not to drown with them. Penmanship is a project built from old writings, real memories, regrets, growth, mistakes, fatherhood, survival, New Mexico nights, and the strange feeling of becoming somebody new while the past keeps knocking. This is the introduction. If this one hits you, the rest of the album goes deeper.
