Western Region Diesels Visit The SEASIDE AGAIN! West Somerset Railway Summer Diesel Gala 06/06/25

Coverage from day two of the West Somerset Railway's Summer Diesel Festival The day featured a wide range of diesel locomotives that once were a common sight in the South West. Featuring a recreation of the Western Region hydraulics, in the form of D1015 'Western Champion' and class 35 Hymek D7018. The hydraulic fleet were withdrawn in the late 1970s, with the introduction of the diesel electric locomotives taking over their work, primarily the class 50. Depicted in this gala, with 50015 'Valiant' running alongside WR hydraulics aswell as 45108, 25185 and home fleet Cromptons (D6575/D6566). Thanks for watching.
