Chaos Erupts as Mother is Sentenced for Son's Death

An emotional Daquela Collins appeared in court on Thursday to face sentencing in the shooting death of her six-year-old son, Da'Quell "King" Collins, in April 2025. Da'Quell accessed a firearm in their home and shot himself in the head. Collins pleaded guilty to two felony charges related to the case. Her defense wanted her to be released on probation, but the judge refused, sentencing her to spend three years in prison, followed by three years of extended supervision.
