I Hitchhiked through Remote Turkey (Iran Border)

Hitchhiking across Turkey with no real plan quickly turned into one of the wildest trips I’ve ever done. My friend Ryan and I started near the far eastern edge of the country in Iğdır beneath Mount Ararat, then made our way across the country entirely through strangers, random rides, mountain roads, snowstorms, ski towns, Black Sea villages, chaotic cities, and whatever else we ran into along the way. From freezing roads in Sarıkamış to the cliffs and forests near Trabzon, all the way to Istanbul, this trip became less about reaching destinations and more about the people, landscapes, and unpredictability in between. This is a cinematic travel film documenting the experience of backpacking and hitchhiking through unseen parts of Turkey.
