Galloway Forest on a Honda Monkey | Red Deer, Wild Goats & Trouble Brewing

Hop on the Honda Monkey and join me for a quiet ride into the heart of Galloway Forest 🌲🐒 In this video, I head out through rural Dumfries and Galloway, stopping first at Watson’s Grocers in Moniaive to pick up some fresh carrots for a very specific mission. From there, it’s into the forest to visit the red deer, using a dedicated viewing hide that allows for respectful, close-up encounters with these amazing animals. I also go in search of the wild goats that roam the area. They’re truly wild, often elusive, and not always accessible, but the hunt for them takes me deeper into some stunning and rarely seen parts of the forest. Just when the ride seems calm and settled, the journey home throws up a bit of tension. Worsening weather and a looming fuel situation turn a peaceful day out into a careful balancing act, adding a dose of drama to the final stretch. A small bike, big scenery, local stops, wildlife encounters, and an unexpected challenge on the way back.
