A 3 day van wild camping in the stunning and peaceful Galloway Forest in SW Scotland. Camp at Tairlaw Picnic Site 35 mins drive from Newton Stewart along one of the most scenic Forest roads in Scotland. With views over The Range of The Awful Hand Hills and The Water of Minnoch it is a lovely drive. Straiton has a village shop run by volunteers with local fresh produce delivered throughout the week approx 15 mins drive. Visiting Loch Doon and Loch Cornish. 2 easy trails. The Craiglee Trail, a stunning 5 mile hike with expansive views over Loch Doon, Loch Finlas, The Rhinns of Kells, The Merrick Hills and the forest. Loch Cornish Trail from Stinchar Bridge., 3 mile trail with views over the Loch in a remote and peaceful spot, Circular trail through the forest and open moorland.
