Colas 37254 on NR Test Train at Taunton Station. Wed 20th Feb 2019.

Thanks to a tip-off by my Friend Lee Robbins i decided to go over to Taunton Station to capture the Network Rail Test Train hauled by Colas Rail Class 37 37254 (Cardiff Canton). It was on 3Z01 to Bristol Barton Hill (EWS) and supposed to depart at 10:01.....But due to a technical hitch ( Which was fixed) it was delayed leaving to 11:11 (+70) and had missed it's original slot. Footage is basically on Platform 2..Now extended to the Southern end to accommodate the IET's...Makes it even better for us with videos and togs etc.. I also have captured some footage of GWR 800 312 departing to London on 1A80 at 11:21...Unusually the Southern end of the Train had the Doors open and showed the Connection coupling..an unusual sight indeed !! How quiet and fast it departed Platform 3....But give me the growl of the 37 any day !!! * All Trains are terminating at Taunton for the time being due to Rail works in Devon..Rail replacement Coaches are in use between here and Tiverton Parkway and Exeter St David's....Hence a lot more announcements........** Literally walked into David Cameron and His Wife and two Bodyguards when i was leaving Platform 2...Not an everyday occurence...Don't wish to repeat it either..lol.......Hope You enjoy the video.....Steve.
