CRISPY ORANGE TOFU | Frey and Maria

Enjoy! 😋💕 CRISPY ORANGE TOFU ✨ 1 cup orange juice 1 tbsp soy sauce 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar 1 tsp ginger, crushed 1/2 cup raw sugar 1 tbsp ketchup 2 tsp garlic powder 450 g firm tofu 1 tbsp cornstarch (cornflour) 1 tbsp water ground black pepper chives and sesame seeds (optional) Method For the Tofu: Using a clean towel, pat dry your firm tofu to remove the excess water. Cut tofu into 8 equal pieces and cook it in an air fryer for 18 minutes at 200 degree Celsius. To make the Orange Sauce: Combine orange juice, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, ginger, raw sugar, ketchup and garlic powder in a bowl and mix them well. Transfer into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Dissolve cornstarch in a tablespoon of water and add them in the mixture. Mix well until the sauce thickens. Add the crispy tofu to the pan and toss to coat with the orange sauce. Season with freshly ground black pepper and top with chives and sesame seeds.
