A Co op Divi. A Portrait of the Barnsley British Co operative Society by Dave Cherry and John Irwin
The Barnsley film makers Dave Cherry and John Irwin take a look back at the Barnsley co-ops and interview some of the old employers. A book tracing the history of the co-ops was given to Dave from Eric Barnes, an ex Barnsley man. This commemorates the 1903 coronation of King Edward V11 and Queen Alexandria and was given to all the 20,000 members. John Irwin uses stunning computer graphics to transform the old buildings into their modern day locations. © Copyright Dave Cherry 2023
