Day 40: Neon hikes through foggy, socked-in mornings that eventually give way to incredible mountain views, puts in back-to-back 20+ mile days, soaks tired feet in a cold mountain stream, and enjoys another night of cowboy camping under the stars. But the biggest milestone is still ahead… Kennedy Meadows marks the end of the desert section and the gateway to the legendary Sierra Nevada. It’s one of the most iconic stops on the entire PCT, and after weeks apart, it’s also where Neon will finally reunite with Lori.
