Come with us as we explore inside Fornethy House, Not knowing the full history of this place upon entering, we were deeply saddened by what we saw and felt. On my way home doing my research. I sobbed for these girls. As children, hundreds of women were sent by the local authority to this school of horrors, where it is said that they suffered the most horrific abuse imaginable, further exploring this place we found cages/cells with children’s blinds on the window inside it. We found old paperwork inside showing what the girls must bring with them during their stay as if it was all sunshine and rainbows, instead it was said to be hell. It’s such a sad feel in there, seeing all the children’s art work on the walls. Knowing what they went through, Innocent little life’s at the hands of pure evil. This place is very secluded and surrounded by acres of dense forests, which is a scary thought as you walk through. It’s like something out of a horror movie. It’s probably one of the most saddest places I’ve ever explored in Scotland.
