Gaeta is a picturesque, historic coastal town situated on a promontory in the Lazio region of central Italy. Jutting into the Tyrrhenian Sea, it is celebrated for its mix of natural coastal beauty, authentic local culture, and deep historical roots that date back to Roman times. Unlike some of the more heavily polished tourist destinations on the Italian coast, it retains a distinctly authentic, lived-in charm with a working fishing harbor and a relaxed atmosphere. Rich History: The town has a deep military and naval history, featuring ancient Roman ruins, a grand medieval castle, and centuries-old fortifications that overlook the historic center. Beautiful Coastline: The area is known for its spectacular geography, boasting dramatic sea cliffs, sea caves, and stretches of golden sandy beaches with clear, inviting waters. Culinary Fame: It is renowned nationwide for its distinct, dark purple olives and traditional local dishes like tiella, a delicious savory pie typically stuffed with local seafood or vegetables. WHO WE ARE ! Richard and Virginia are inviting you to join us as we tour the world. Over the past 5 years we have been to 45 States on our 40 Foot Motor Coach and we are now transitioning to cruising and land travel We promise to be entertaining and funny (and not so funny sometimes). We are sure there will be some surprises and missteps! In 2024 we were on a month long cruise to South America. In 2025, we started off with a FIVE MONTH World Cruise and will then spend 6 weeks in Southern Italy, Sicily and the Galapagos Islands. Then a 3 weeks cruise to thee Antartica. Followed by a World cruise of 4 months long, early in 2026 to the South Pacific islands, New Zealand, Australia, India and the Red Sea, Petra Jordan, Eqypt and ending in Israel .
