How a Soldier Slaughtered His Own for Money : The Glencorse Massacre

Thank you for watching! In 1985, Andrew Walker, a 30-year-old British Army corporal in the Royal Scots, committed the crime later called the Glencorse Barracks murders. Walker robbed an army payroll delivery near Penicuik, Scotland, stealing more than £19,000. During the robbery he shot and killed three colleagues—Major David Cunningham, Staff Sergeant Terence Hosker, and Private John Thomson. He tried to hide the bodies and flee, but evidence quickly linked him to the attack. Walker was convicted of triple murder and armed robbery and received a life sentence with a recommended minimum of 30 years. The case remains one of Scotland’s most shocking modern military crimes.
