Osaka, Shinsaibashi. I went out for street photography with my Nikon Zf to the bustling nightlife district, where rain-soaked neon lights reflected on the asphalt. The rainy-day atmosphere of the city is full of unique charm, with the hurried footsteps of passersby and the expressions hidden beneath umbrellas—a situation not seen on sunny days. It's a very enjoyable situation to photograph. While simply capturing beautiful cityscapes is fine, placing "people" in the frame creates a story in the photograph, allowing you to capture something like their "way of life." This time, I discussed my thought process on how to translate the presence of people and the drama of the city into fine art within the dramatic space created by rain and neon lights.
