First, we squeeze into a far too small tuk-tuk with our luggage, struggle along bumpy dirt roads, and even have to hike up a mountain. But the subsequent van ride from El Nido to Puerto Princesa becomes absolute hell: completely overcrowded, hardly any space, and 5 hours of pure torture. After our arrival on Palawan, a surprising 1-star hotel awaits us in the Philippines – but the next morning, things get really crazy… I actually only wanted to go to the ATM and the hairdresser in Puerto Princesa.
