It is under this authority that we proclaim the gospel. We are also called to make disciples without distinction. We don't just talk about Christ without follow-up; we proclaim God's love and invite people into a relationship. What characterizes a disciple of Christ is the confession of faith and baptism, a visible expression of one who has been saved. And, after baptism, being a disciple means continuing to be discipled. Furthermore, Jesus is with us every day. The Great Commission doesn't end with a command, but with a promise.
