Xiaomi 4 Ultra VS Segway ZT3 Pro E: acceleration test, range test, incline speed test

Range or speed? That’s the key trade-off you'll face when choosing between the Xiaomi Scooter 4 Ultra and the Segway-Ninebot eKickScooter ZT3 Pro E. The results are shown below. However, during the two full days of testing, we observed several additional details — such as suspension comfort, braking efficiency, and scooter's real top speed — that weren’t included in the video. TEST CONDITIONS & PARAMETERS • Fully charged scooters at the test start (100% battery) • Riders: 92 kg & 55kg • Tire pressure set to factory specs • Ambient temp: 30–33°C • Surfaces (road types): asphalt, pebblecrete (concrete with pebbles), cobblestone • Speed modes throughout all tests: S+ on 4 Ultra and S on ZT3 Pro ACCELERATION TEST Parameters: • Distance: ~50 meters • Surface: smooth concrete with pebbles Result: Rider 92kg: Segway ZT3 Pro - 5.16 sec / Xiaomi 4 Ultra - 5.54 sec Rider 55kg: Segway ZT3 Pro - 3.48 sec / Xiaomi 4 Ultra - 3.58 sec Notes / Conclusions: • Rider weight significantly influenced results • Check also similar test devoted to Xiaomi 4 Ultra scooter (two scooters of the same brand and model, but with big difference in mileage and also riders' weight):    • Xiaomi Scooter 4 Ultra - Ultimate Speed, A...   RANGE TEST • Mixed surfaces & inclines (asphalt, concrete, cobblestone, 0%–24% incline uphill and downhill): 26 km total. • 50+ stops over 4 hours (often starts/stops affect battery consumption) • Max speed: 41 km/h (downhill) • Average speed: 15 km/h • Final battery: Rider 92 kg - 15% on Segway ZT3 Pro and 40% on Xiaomi 4 Ultra | Rider 55 kg - 35% on Segway ZT3 Pro and 53% on Xiaomi 4 Ultra Notes / Conclusions: • Rider weight significantly affects battery consumption • Segway ZT3 Pro showed much worse result despite boasting slightly bigger battery than Xiaomi 4 Ultra ( 597Wh VS 561.5Wh or 12438mAh vs12000mAh) • Results could be partially affected also by scooters weight Segway ZT3 Pro is around 30 kg, while Xiaomi 4 Ultra is around 25 kg. INCLINE SPEED TEST (UPHILL RIDING) • Inclines: 18% & 24% • Incline 18% results: Rider 92 kg - 12km/h on Segway ZT3 Pro and 10km/h on Xiaomi 4 Ultra | Rider 55 kg - 18km/h on Segway ZT3 Pro and 17km/h on Xiaomi 4 Ultra • Incline 24% results: Rider 92 kg - 6km/h on Segway ZT3 Pro and 3km/h on Xiaomi 4 Ultra | Rider 55 kg - 12km/h on Segway ZT3 Pro and 9km/h on Xiaomi 4 Ultra Notes / Conclusions: • Rider weight dramatically affects incline speed • Segway's 25% incline claim for ZT3 Pro seems to be close to reality, while Xiaomi's 25% incline claim for 4 Ultra scooter seems to be totally not achievable for a rider weighting over 80-90 kg. EXTRA INFROMATION • Thanks to its more powerful motor, the Segway ZT3 Pro outperforms the Xiaomi 4 Ultra not just in acceleration and uphill performance. Its top speed also appears to exceed the stated 25 km/h — even though the dashboard shows otherwise. During our tests, the ZT3 Pro consistently pulled ahead of the 4 Ultra and continued widening the gap. •Segway ZT3 Pro lacks an electric motor brake and instead relies on front and rear disc brakes. This setup appears less reliable compared to the Xiaomi 4 Ultra’s combination of an electric brake and front drum brake. When using only the rear disc brake on the ZT3 Pro, stopping distances are noticeably long, while using only the front brake can be risky and may cause instability or even failure. For safe and effective braking, both brakes should be used simultaneously — but that’s not easy, since the rider’s right hand is already occupied with the throttle, and the ZT3 Pro doesn’t support cruise control. In contrast, the 4 Ultra combines both brakes into a single lever operated by the rider’s left hand, delivering smoother control and shorter, more consistent stopping distances. However, in certain scenarios, the softer suspension of the Xiaomi 4 Ultra actually performs better. While the ZT3 Pro’s suspension is sturdier and more robust, the Xiaomi’s softer setup can offer a smoother ride over smaller bumps and uneven surfaces.
