Kuligin. Nikolai Afanasyevich Kuligin Born in 1912. After graduating from military aviation school, he served in bomber aviation. From August 1941, he served on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War. Until April 1942, he fought in the 98th Long-Range Bomber Aviation Regiment on the Southwestern Front. He then retrained as a fighter pilot. From May 1942, he served in the 837th Fighter Aviation Regiment; From January 1943, he served in the 19th Guards Fighter Aviation Regiment; from July 1943, he commanded the 152nd Fighter Aviation Regiment (324th Svir Red Banner Fighter Aviation Division, 7th Air Army, Karelian Front); from November 1943, he commanded the 195th Fighter Aviation Regiment. During his combat career, he shot down 10 enemy aircraft personally and 11 as part of a group. On May 22, 1944, Guards Major N. A. Kuligin died in an aviation accident.
