I Tested the Top 2026 Hunting Bows Here’s What I Chose!

Which hunting bow am I shooting this fall? To make that decision, I tested the top flagship compound bows from Mathews, Hoyt, PSE, Bowtech, Darton, Prime, Bear, and several other leading bow manufacturers. Instead of choosing a bow based on specifications or brand loyalty, I shot them side by side to see which models felt and performed best for me. I compared the draw cycle, back wall, valley, grip, balance, shot feel, vibration, noise, speed, and overall shootability of each bow. Some of the bows tested in this video include: • Mathews ARC 30 • Mathews ARC 34 • Hoyt Alpha AX-3 • Hoyt Carbon RX-10 • Hoyt Carbon RX-10 Ultra • Darton TriTec 33 • Prime Divide 33 • PSE Mach 33 • PSE Sicario • New models from Bowtech and Bear Archery • Several other leading hunting bows After shooting all these bows, I narrowed the field down to two: the Mathews ARC 34 and the Hoyt Carbon RX-10 Ultra. The problem? I still couldn’t decide which one suited me better. Rather than forcing a choice, I decided to shoot both bows this year. Throughout the season, I’ll continue comparing the ARC 34 and RX-10 Ultra as I set them up, tune them, practice with them, and prepare them for hunting season. The bow that feels best to me may not be the best bow for you. Draw length, shooting form, grip preference, intended use, and personal feel can all affect which bow is the right choice.
