How to learn - Stop copying and start thinking like an artist - Easy painting
Hi Everybody!Today, we return to portrait painting with a focus on something most tutorials ignore: how to actually learn from them without copying. We are breaking the process down into clear, easy steps: • Start with a simple sketch using basic shapes• Transfer the sketch onto your paper• Block in the background with a limited colour palette• Build the image in layers: base shapes, shadows and highlights, then details• Refine and adjust with small accents and colour repetition As always, the goal is to understand the process. You’ll also see how the exact same technique can be used in different styles. Be it with natural proportions, while the other is more expressive and stylised. Same method, same colours, different outcome. That’s the key point:You don’t need to change your style to learn something new. You don’t need to imitate another artist to improve. Instead, focus on extracting principles. Understand how something works, then apply it in your own way. This approach removes pressure, builds consistency, and helps you develop your own visual language over time. If you’re a beginner, this gives you a clear entry point. If you already have experience, it’s a way to simplify and refine your process. Keep it simple. Stay consistent. Let the work evolve. —— Chapters 00:00 Intro 00:16 Basics of Drawing 02:44 Man in Blue 05:40 Man in Black 08:32 Woman in Black 09:30 Bearded Man 10:27 Man in Red 13:01 Woman in Blue 13:53 Results 14:29 Outro Keywords:portrait painting tutorial, how to paint a face, beginner portrait painting, easy portrait drawing, learn painting techniques, painting for beginners, expressive portrait art, limited color palette painting, art fundamentals, how to draw faces, painting process step by step, acrylic portrait tutorial, improve drawing skills, art for beginners, creative process art Hashtags:#PortraitPainting #ArtTutorial #LearnToPaint #BeginnerArt #DrawingFaces #PaintingProcess #ArtForBeginners #CreativeProcess #ExpressiveArt #VisualArt
