Cleaning lens elements In Leica Summilux 1:1.4 / 50 (some fungus NOT good). There was much more Fungus on the lens elements than I expected, and I could only remove some of the Fungus. And there was some Fungus between 2 cemented lenses.. But I could remove most of the dust and dirt, so it looks much better than it was, at least it can now being used... I use Hydrogen Peroxide 3%, and do the final cleaning with Lighter Fluid. I also try with vinegar to cleaning the Fungus away, but it did not help at all. I also try to cleaning with "Eclipse" sensor cleaning fluid, but it did not at all work against Fungus, but can be used to cleaning away the dust, BUT take REALLY GOOD CARE when use it close to the black paint on the side of the lens elements! because it will take away the black paint! I know some Leica lenses have some problems with serious Fungus between cemented lens elements in different lens groups. Maybe other people have some good ideas, if the case is just like this lens.
