How an Earthquake rerouted our Taiwan Trip…

After a 7.4 magnitude earthquake hit Hualien, our plans to visit Taroko Gorge completely fell apart. Hotels cancelled, tours shut down, and even today Taroko still isn’t what it was. So we completely rerouted… and somehow ended up in Nanzhuang (sorry for butchering the pronunciation the whole video 😂). Thanks to Nick Kembel’s travel blog, we discovered this beautiful little mountain town and instantly fell in love. We hiked Lion Head Mountain (even though the bus schedule tried to fight us), wandered through the flower festival, and we both agreed it was our favourite places in Taiwan.
