Steady Self Improvement - What This Channel Is All About - Longer In-Depth Version
This video explains what the channel is all about. Obviously it's about steady self improvement, but more specifically it's about how to make small changes over time and turn them into habits. I have successfully used this approach over the last few decades to make big changes in my life that at times I didn't think were possible. I found that these small changes compound over time when you consistently apply them and for me, this has been the best approach to tackling the bigger challenges in life. I try to talk in simple, plain English as much as possible in my videos and my approach is not about strict or punishing routines, but about a realistic approach where failure is expected and viewed as a necessary part of self improvement. In this video I introduce the channel, then talk about some of my life experiences and how they have led to self improvement being my full-time obsession. I talk about the main topics I cover which are fitness & strength training, diet, sleep, thinking skills and environment. Then I talk about the main pillars and themes that comprise my own personal approach to self improvement. As much as possible, I like to focus the content of my videos on ideas and tips that I have actually tested out in my own life over extended periods of time. I'm constantly looking for new ideas and rabbit-holes to go down with research because I love nothing better than trying out new ideas in order to improve my life.
