I hit my lifelong dream, but I couldn't walk to celebrate it

At 30 years old, after seven years of grit and two career-threatening injuries, I finally broke the top 100 in the world of professional tennis. It was the "mountain" I’d been climbing since I was a kid in Colorado. But there was no fanfare, no cameras, and no one to share it with. I was alone on an island in Bermuda, exhausted, and my body was breaking. The lesson I learned the hard way is that high performance without a foundation is a liability. My plantar fasciitis wasn't bad luck, it was a biological alarm. My physical, mental, and emotional foundations weren't strong enough to hold the weight of my success. Don't wait until you reach your peak to realize your foundation is crumbling. To truly Own Your Zone, you have to master the pro-fundamentals: Restore the Body: Prioritize sleep and recovery over the "grind." Strengthen the Base: Address the physical and mental imbalances before they become injuries. Share the Journey: Success is hollow if you don't have a community to experience it with.
