Removing the fin on the Cadillac fenders, the ''make it custom'' meteor gets renamed, Tesla swap
In this episode of Adventures in Rust, we take a major step toward refining the look of our custom build by dialing in the rear fender design. The goal? Less “1950s airplane,” more true 1950s custom lead sled style. We drop the tail light 2 1/2 inches to improve the proportions and give the rear end a cleaner, more aggressive stance. From there, we reshape the fender fin to flow better with the body lines—smoothing things out and pushing this build closer to that classic custom aesthetic we’re after. This isn’t just a small tweak—it completely changes how the car feels from the rear, bringing it more in line with traditional custom car design while still keeping our unique twist. If you're into custom cars, metal shaping, classic American builds, or wild transformations, you’re going to love this one. 🔧 In this episode: Lowering the tail light for better proportions Reshaping the rear fender fin Blending classic 50s styling with custom design Hands-on metalwork and fabrication Make sure to like, subscribe, and follow along as we continue transforming this build into something truly one-of-a-kind. #CustomCars #MetalShaping #LeadSled #ClassicCars #CarFabrication #HotRod #CustomBuild #AdventuresInRust #1950sCustom #AutoRestoration
