Queensland Trains Busy Time at Redbank 13th October 2025

The train turntable at Redbank station was recommissioned on the 13th October 2025. There was lots of other action too. I've added book marks for those who don't want to watch for 45 minutes. (00:00) The commissioning team check a few things before the diesel test loco arrives. (01:47) Steam train led by BB18¼ 1079 runs down from Ipswich (02:27) Light engines PN004 and PN007 arrive from Moolabin they have come to pickup 8304 from Progress Rail workshops. (06:48) An empty coal train from the port, pulled by 2321D and 2487H passes on its way to Toowoomba. (07:54) Light engines 2410 and 2411 arrive for turntable testing. (09:57) points change after the 2400s enter the yard, so Nambour train led by unit 162 can enter platform 2 at Redbank. (10:45) PN locos head toward Progress rail facility crossing the road. (12:05) 8304 comes down beside the other PN locos then attaches to PN004 (14:08) 2411 uncoupled from 2410 starts moving to turntable. (16:27) 2411 climbs onto the turntable, the first loc to do that in some time. (18:51) PN locos leave Progress rail facility across the road. (21:09) Five running diesels in shot. 3 X PN and 2 X QR. (21:51) 2411 starts to spin. Lots of turning and checking for the next 5 minutes. Watch for the sped up spin at (26:23) (26:58) PN locos leave down the main line. (28:00) back to watching turntable testing. (34:29) another empty coal train pulled by 2305D and 2320D passes on the main line. (36:05) 1079 returning to the workshops follows the coal train and passes an NGR heading to Brisbane (37:28) Some manual turntable turning, looks like hard work! (41:50) Coal from the downs passes by, pulled by 2309D and 2497H. (43:32) A few more photos of 2411 on the Turntable as taken by the crew then (44:02) 2411 dismounts and attaches to 2410. (45:57) Their work completed, 2411 and 2410 return to Mayne.
