Prom Problems

The plaintiff says her son was going to take the defendant’s daughter to the prom, so she she paid the defendant $200 towards a limo. After the principal said her son wasn’t allowed to attend because of academic issues, the defendant refused to return the limo money, so she’s suing her. The defendant says the plaintiff called her just hours before the dance began, so she doesn’t feel she owes anything. Case 29-125
