March 5, 2023 Best Day on Mt. Yotei. Hokkaido, Japan

Hiked up Yotei on a sunny day without a cloud in the sky. Top one-third of the mountain had excellent snow and the rest just wasn't. Great day. There were a lot of things in play today and in the end I want to say it was all good, but days like this make me very aware that the joy that this sport brings can, unfortunately, sometimes bring sadness for the people who are waiting at home.
