Mt Yotei Crater Ski from Summit - Hokkaido, Japan - Feb 2019

Skiing into the crater of Mt. Yotei. February 2019 in ideal conditions - sunshine, high visibility, moderate winds, and soft snow. Early morning start at 300m at the trailhead. Less than 4 hours later to 1,800m at the summit. Then 45 seconds of glory skiing into the crater from the rim. What an adventure and quite the feeling to have the entire crater to yourself with first tracks! Another 1,000m descent back down the south slope of fresh snow.
