In this TEDx Talk, Rui Signori shares the sustainable and social experience of green roofs. The project provides employment opportunities and contributes to the environment. He also shows us how to reconcile urbanization, the availability of technological resources, and sustainability simultaneously. Rui Signori is an Agricultural Engineer and the technical manager of the Composting/Green Roof Project. One of his best-known projects is the one carried out at Shopping Eldorado, located in the city of São Paulo. Solid waste produced on-site is managed so that it is transformed, through a composting process, into an organic compost used on the green roof within the shopping mall itself.
