Vaccination has proven for years to be one of the most cost-effective interventions in the prevention of infectious diseases. It prevents between 2 and 3 million deaths annually worldwide, according to the Pan American and World Health Organizations (PAHO/WHO). Peru has one of the best vaccination programs thanks to the strong commitment of the government and the nationwide deployment of the Ministry of Health (MINSA). Furthermore, it has access to the financial mechanisms established by the PAHO Revolving Fund for Vaccine Procurement.
