Jeep TJ Step By Step Radiator Replacement.

After 20 years of hard work the factory radiator in my TJ finally gave up the ghost. It wasn't until days later that I figured out what actually drove the nail in the coffin. After installing the new radiator, excessive pressure in the coolant system began to force coolant out through the next weakest link which was my 6 month old water pump and gasket. Any idea what caused the excessive pressure? (Spoiler alert) A faulty $11 Amazon radiator cap. The moral of the story? Don't be cheap! When and where ever possible, BUY OEM PARTS! Unfortunately OEM radiators were discontinued and are now unicorns. If you do a search on the following part numbers, you can find an OEM(like) replacement. 52080183ac CSF 3244 Thanks for watching!
