The Orthodox Christians of Nigeria | Documentary | New Trailer

This film explores the missionary endeavors that have been transpiring in Nigeria over the past few years. These endeavors have been led by Presbyter Stephen Tema, a convert to Orthodoxy who, even as a layman, helped convert hundreds of people to the Orthodox Faith. This group of Orthodox Christians in Nigeria petitioned the Church of the Genuine Orthodox Christians of Greece to send a Hierarch in order to establish the Church there by Baptizing these converts and by Ordaining clergymen for them. The Holy Synod commissioned Metropolitan Demetrius of America to fulfill this request who asked Bishop Maximus of Pelagonia to go on his behalf, but because His Grace was continually hindered by traveling restrictions, he was only able to travel to Nigeria in 2021, three years after the initial request. His visit marked a turning point for the Orthodox Christians of Nigeria.
