I do no mean to never reference other chef’s recipe. That is how we learn. Once these basic concepts are cleared, you will find recipe development so much fun and interesting. Play with flavours, mix and match them, see which flavours so well together. You will feel like a scientist. I have also mentioned the eggless cake substitutes in the end of the video. Here are some quick tips to always remember before you start baking- (these are not mentioned in the video) All ingredients at room temperature. Measure everything before you start the bench operations. Keep a napkin and dustbin near you to make your job easier. Invest in a baking scale, do not depend on measuring cups. Only change one variable(ingredient) at a time. Write down how that change affected the final dish. Do not keep opening the oven door to see if the cake is done. Oven, microwave, pressure cooker and air fryer all will have different result for the same recipe. Store baking soda and baking powder in the fridge to keep them fresh. Sift the cocoa powder and other dry ingredients to have a fluffier cake. I do not claim that I am a pro at baking. I still make mistakes. But I really want to create something that I wish I had when I started my baking journey. I hope this series, “learn from my mistakes” will do that for you.
