🇮🇹 Bussana Vecchia, le village abandonné/ fantôme devenu un village d’artistes

Bussana Vecchia is located near Sanremo, in the southwest of the Liguria region, about 20 kilometers east of the Italian-French border. After being a "ghost town" for much of the 20th century, it has flourished over the last 50 years as the center of a vibrant artistic community. In 1887, the medieval village of Bussana was destroyed by an earthquake that struck the region. At the time, most of the villagers were in the church, which collapsed during the earthquake, and approximately 2,000 people perished in the tragedy.
