The Making of Kyoto Zogan Damascene 【京象嵌PV】
The origin of our company is the atelier of manufacturing the Kyo Zogan, since over 70 years, then it is one of our iconic item. Kyo Zogan is called as a Damascene in English. Kyo Zogan is a traditional Kyoto handicraft created by carving cloth-like weave inlay into a thin sheet of iron, then inlaying pure gold and silver design onto the texture, applying lacquer over it, and finally engraving with fine lines onto the gold and silver patterns after polishing them. These process which need extreme concentration and delicacy produces the elegance of Kyo Zogan. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ If you appreciate our videos, please click the LIKE button and FOLLOW us!
