What was supposed to be an exceptional experiment turned out to be an exceptional one indeed. After what seems to be a "Resonance Cascade" a state of chaos filled the facility. Unknown creatures appeared out of nowhere, some Black Mesa personnel lost their lives due to explosions and walls collapsing, and the entire security system was compromised.
