Baby wildebeest separated from mother crossing croc infested Mara River
While in Africa late August 2013 on Safari, we witnessed thousands of Wildebeest crossing the Mara River while migrating north. The river is dangerous not only due to crocs waiting to ambush animals trying to make their way across the river but many break their legs and suffer serious injuries while crossing. One heartbreaking drama we followed was a baby with it's mother crossing and what happened when they reached the far side of the river. This was a brave little fellow that didn't give up.
