Microbiology and cell biology are key disciplines in the development of trending ingredients for cosmetic products in facial, hair, and body care lines. This lecture focuses on enhancing and guiding fundamental knowledge of microbial cultures and cellular processes for the production of metabolites and active extracts, as well as the quality control required for their commercialization in the national and international cosmetic active ingredient market. Target audience: Students of the School of Microbiology, Medellín and surrounding regions, and students in related fields (Biology, Food Engineering, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, among others), as well as researchers and professionals in the field.
