「Beyond CI/CD: Continuous Performance-Driven Principles for Future HPC Systems and Applications」 講演者　　：中村宜文（理化学研究所 計算科学研究センター） 開催日時　：2025年7月17日（木）13:00～14:00 概要　　　：現代のHPCシステムとアプリケーションの複雑化に対応するため、CI/CDの概念をパフォーマンスレイヤーへと拡張し、ベンチマーク・評価・最適化を継続的に行う仕組みの構築について論じます。小規模なベンチマークに留まらず、実際の計算パターンや通信行動を正確に反映した科学的なパフォーマンス測定の重要性を示します。また、特定のベンダーやツールに依存しないオープンで持続可能な統合フレームワークの構築を提唱し、多様な研究者が共通基盤上で開発を進められる環境の整備について議論します。さらに、開発者が測定データを共有することでシステム開発者やオペレーターがハードウェア・ライブラリを継続的に改善できるエコシステムの実現を目指す。 "Beyond CI/CD: Continuous Performance-Driven Principles for Future HPC Systems and Applications" Speaker: Yoshifumi Nakamura (RIKEN R-CCS) Date and Time: Thursday, July 17, 2025, 13:00–14:00 (JST) This talk discusses the construction of a framework for continuous benchmarking, evaluation, and optimization by extending the CI/CD concept to the performance layer, in response to the growing complexity of modern HPC systems and applications. We highlight the importance of scientifically meaningful performance measurement that accurately reflects real-world computation patterns and communication behaviour, going beyond small-scale benchmarks. We also advocate for the development of an open and sustainable integration framework independent of specific vendors or tools, enabling diverse researchers to collaborate on a common foundation. Furthermore, we aim to realize an ecosystem in which developers share measurement data to allow system developers and operators to continuously improve hardware and libraries.
