Despite its enormous potentials and boundless opportunities, the South East Region of Nigeria still swims in what seems like a stagnant ocean. This talk dives into what needs to be done, how it needs to be done and what the future holds for creatives in Nigeria. One of Africa's, and more importantly, Nigeria's priceless resources is the human capital it has in abundance. However, it has not been exploited to its full potential to generate enough revenue that will push the economy of the country. Obi Asika is the Founder of Dragon Africa, a strategic communications agency and conference producer and is the co-founder & Chairman of Social Media Week Lagos which is the largest new media and technology conference in Africa. Obi has worked across the sports, music, television, live events, social media and technology industries and has deep leadership experience in the creative industry and has been involved in promoting and enabling opportunities in the technology, media, and entertainment industries in Nigeria leading him to be known as one of the principal advocates of Nigerian Soft Power.
