05.04.2022 - A44 near Willich, Northrine-Westfalia, Germany - Recovery of a crashed heavy transport On tuesday morning (05.04.2022) at 4:15, a heavy transport, transporting the tower of a wind turbine, crashed on the A44 near Willich in Germany. The trailer got onto the grass, went through the guardrail, while the semi-trailer tractor stayed on the asphalt. After more then ten hours, the recovery started. Tower and trailer were disconnected and were later connected after both were lifted safe on the road. At 23:30, the police escorted the heavy transport to the next parking lot. The road was opened at about 0:15 on the next day.
