This message echoes even till this day. However, how fortunate are we that we had the very Father of Christ Himself incarnate on this Earth to remind us of His Son's teachings given ages ago! Yes, that Father is none other than our beloved Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Perhaps there is no better time to offer our gratitude in this context than during Christmas celebrations, when Swami would speak in depth about Jesus Christ, His life, and His message. This video is an offering to all devotees and to our dear Lord of His Divine Discourse delivered on the auspicious occasion of Christmas, December 25, 1995, in the Poornachandra Auditorium, Prasanthi Nilayam. The topic of the discourse is, "Develop Pure Love." He speaks on the essence of Love, and the importance of developing it in our daily life. Combining the message of the Bible with even that of the Vedas and the Upanishads, He weaves together a beautiful message containing the quintessence of all religions. Swami also speaks about the former organization Messengers of Sathya Sai, a group of alumnus from the girls' campus of the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, Anantapur campus, who render service in their communities as an offering of gratitude to Bhagavan for His infinite shower of love toward them. Swami encourages them to continue their good work, and instructs the boys also to participate in service activities. Besides all of these profound messages, His inimitable and enjoyable sense humor that He so perfectly sprinkles every now and then makes the Discourse a reservoir of bliss! This discourse will be a treasure for all, a rare gem. Before Swami speaks, we see Swami granting darshan to the large multitude of devotees assembled in the Auditorium, lighting the candles on the stage, listening to two beautiful devotional songs, including the famous Telugu number, "Sai Divya Roopam," by the members of Messengers of Sathya Sai, and hearing a speech by one of the members. Throughout this "pre-Discourse" session, so to speak, Swami seems to be in complete bliss, closing His eyes, waving His hands...a sight for the Gods!
