Worksop to Nottingham

In this video we follow the ironic story of how a railway line was constructed through necessity in the 19th Century. It fell out of favour after the closure of the coal mines and the run down of coal fired power stations to the point that a section of it was abandoned. The car had won but in a bizarre turn of events, the car choked the area and relief came in the form of the Robin Hood Line. Follow this fascinating journey which passes town and country and we run side by side with NET (Nottingham Express Transit) tram system.
