This mountain pass passing through the Sathyamangalam Tiger Reserve has 27 hairpin bends.Wild elephants cross the road in large numbers while driving through dense forests in the evenings. The elephants come to attack motorists, so be very careful.Vehicles are not allowed on this road from 9 pm to 6 am.
